Job Summary:

Kitchen Assistant

• Location: Brampton, ON

  What You’ll Do:
  As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll support chefs and cooks in day-to-day food preparation and kitchen operations. Your tasks include washing, chopping, and preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, organizing supplies, and assisting with dishwashing or basic cooking as needed. You’ll help ensure that all meals are prepared efficiently, safely, and up to quality standards.

  Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of food handling and kitchen hygiene

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Good teamwork and communication skills

  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights

  • Prior kitchen or restaurant experience is an asset but not required

  Compensation:
   Salary Range: CAD $16.00 – $19.50 per hour, depending on experience and employer.
  Full-time and part-time roles available. Some employers offer free staff meals, uniforms, and training for advancement to cook or chef positions.
